About

paula roush is a London-based artist with a passion for photographic art and education. She works with  photographic commissions, residencies and exhibitions  and her photobookworks have been  recognized at international photography festivals. Running a small press photobook publishing imprint- msdm publications- she divides her time between creating new work and teaching photography at the School of Arts and Creative Industries  (London South Bank University). She facilitates photobook publishing workshops in partnership with Lisbon Photobook Fair, V&A (Victoria & Albert Museum) Academy, ACAVA (The Association for the Advancement of Visual Arts) and  KHiO (The Oslo Art Academy).

Nothing to undo, a photobook work about european migration and living in the diaspora won the Sheffield Artist’s Book Award 2015, was nominated for the FotoBook Festival Kassel’s Best Photobook of 2015 and has been collected internationally. Bus-Spotting+A Story was nominated for the Photo-Text Award in the Arles Rencontres de Photographie.
